Our Hazelbox Green’n’White 2022 is a 120cm high stealth grow box made of sturdy sheet steel, fully welded and delivered fully assembled. All connections are prepared for use as a grow box.

From the outside, the grow cabinet looks like designer furniture. The Hazelbox Green’n’White 2022 is delivered exclusively together with the Hazelbeam2 in white. LED lighting, activated carbon filter, timer programs and exhaust air fan are located in one housing. First, there is the question of how much space you have at home and how much space your plants need in the grow tent. For a normal user, 3-6 plants in a grow box are enough to cover the need. The housing of a growbox is in most cases a grow tent. Since this does not look pretty in every room, we have considered an alternative. Our Hazelbox is a stable steel cabinet made in Germany, fully welded and very robust. A Hazelbox lasts a lifetime.

All classic grow tents are preferably bought in the dimensions 80cm x 80cm x 180cm, or 1m2. Our Hazelbox has a base area of 50 cm x 93 cm in all variants.
Accordingly in the smaller version with a height of 120 cm, this offers you space for 4-6 plants. In the large version, our Hazelbox Ultrawhite with a height of 195cm, there is space for 6-8 plants. Depending on whether the plants tend to grow in width or in height. That depends on the variety of the plant.

Many of the conventional grow tents are opened with a zipper. The new Hazelbox models have doors with a patented Ergonorm handle and can also be locked with a key. As with the tents, fresh air has to get into the box somewhere, but also used old air out again. There are two flange openings on the Hazelbox for this purpose. Fresh air comes in through the lower one, and the power cable is also routed to the outside here. If you want to place other devices, such as an irrigation system, in the Hazelbox, this can also be done easily through the lower flange. The exhaust air hose of the Hazelbeam2 is connected to the upper flange. In our new 2022 models, this flange has an AirMatrix that significantly reduces the noise of the air flow. In comparison, the new Hazelbox models are about 30% quieter than their predecessors.

Whether grow cabinet or a grow tent, the inner workings of a grow box is certainly the most important part for a successful harvest. In a grow box you need several technical devices to get a plant to bloom optimally. But basically you need light, a ventilation system and an activated carbon filter to avoid odors. Power consumption of a grow box
Many customers ask us how much electricity a grow box consumes. We have calculated the power consumption of our Hazelbox here for you. The Hazelbeam2 uses different amounts of power in different cycles. At the beginning in the blue phase it is about 120 watts of power with 18 hours of blue light. At the end of the flowering phase it is 270 watts with 12 hours of intense red light. So about 2.3 KhW per day. That is up to 70% less than other complete grow tent systems.

Compared to other grow systems and combined with the expected yield, this is a very economical yet efficient way to operate your home grow without high electricity costs.
Depending on the provider, you can save another 20-40% if you use your Hazelbox grow box at night with cheaper off-peak electricity. In addition, your power consumption is then evenly distributed throughout the day and there are no peaks in power consumption because not all your devices are running at the same time. So currently you pay about 39 cents per day for the operation of the Hazelbox if you use all factors optimally.

Use the heat of the grow box
Due to the currently higher costs for heating, you can also take advantage of a grow box to save on heating costs. We recommend using our Hazelbox in living rooms with a temperature of approx. 20 degrees. This brings you the best yield.
However, it is also possible to operate a grow box in rooms with an ambient temperature of only 16 degrees. The box is often in a third room, i.e. an office or hobby room. Since the temperature in the Hazelbox is about 4 degrees warmer than outside, you can save on heating costs in these rooms or turn off the heating completely.

A grow box usually consists of many components. Since the grow system cannot run 24 hours a day, you need timers. Everyone knows these little helpers who can be really annoying if they don’t run properly in time. With our Hazelbox with the Hazelbeam2 you can easily choose from 3 different programs. 18 hours low level blue light for small plants. 18 hours of strong blue light for larger plants and 12 hours of strong red light for flowering. So you no longer need timers to run your grow system.

In our Hazelbox with Hazelbeam2, not only are the programs already finished, you don’t have to worry about the structure either. All components of a grow system can be found here under one housing. That means no more wiring of the individual components. With conventional complete grow box systems, you have to wire the fan to a mains plug. Connect an activated carbon filter with several hoses and the appropriate fittings. Consider installing a ballast to control the lamp. In total you have to install around 15-20 individual components to start your Homegrow. With the Hazelbox you get an automatic grow box. Starting a home grow usually requires quite a bit of equipment. It starts with the lamp. This supplies your plants with energy. With the lamp it is important to generate as much light output as possible with as little power consumption or loss through heat emission as possible. Your plants also need fresh air to photosynthesize. But that also means that oxygen is produced, which in turn has to be channeled out of your grow box. An exhaust air system is required for this. This consists of exhaust air hoses and often a duct fan.
How do you prevent odors that could possibly arise? An activated carbon filter is installed in front of the exhaust air system. This filters all odors and other particles from the “old” air in the grow box. The filter must be changed at least once a year. Preferably even every 6 months.
