The housing of a growbox is in most cases a grow tent. Since this does not look pretty in every room, we have considered an alternative. Our Hazelbox is a stable steel cabinet made in Germany, fully welded and very robust. A Hazelbox lasts a lifetime.

All classic grow tents are preferably bought in the dimensions 80cm x 80cm x 180cm, or 1m2. Our Hazelbox has a base area of ​​50 cm x 93 cm in all variants.

Accordingly in the smaller version with a height of 120 cm, this offers you space for 4-6 plants. In the large version, our Hazelbox Ultrawhite with a height of 195cm, there is space for 6-8 plants. Depending on whether the plants tend to grow in width or in height. That depends on the variety of the plant.

the connections

Many of the conventional grow tents are opened with a zipper. The new Hazelbox models have doors with a patented Ergonorm handle and can also be locked with a key. As with the tents, fresh air has to get into the box somewhere, but also used old air out again. There are two flange openings on the Hazelbox for this purpose. Fresh air comes in through the lower one, and the power cable is also routed to the outside here. If you want to place other devices, such as an irrigation system, in the Hazelbox, this can also be done easily through the lower flange. The exhaust air hose of the Hazelbeam2 is connected to the upper flange. In our new 2022 models, this flange has an AirMatrix that significantly reduces the noise of the air flow. In comparison, the new Hazelbox models are about 30% quieter than their predecessors.

In a grow box you need several technical devices to get a plant to bloom optimally. But basically you need light, a ventilation system and an activated carbon filter to avoid odors. Das Gehäuse einer Growbox

Das Gehäuse einer Growbox ist in den häufigsten Fällen ein Growzelt. Da dies nicht in jeder Stube hübsch aussieht haben wir uns eine alternative überlegt. Unsere Hazelbox ist ein in Deutschland gefertigter stabiler Stahlschrank, voll verschweißt und sehr robust. Eine Hazelbox hält ein Leben lang.

Der Platz in der Growbox

Die klassischen Growzelte werden am liebsten in den Maßen 80cm x 80cm x 180cm, oder 1m2 gekauft. Unsere Hazelbox hat in allen Varianten eine Grundfläche von 50 cm x 93 cm.

Diese bietet dir in der kleineren Version mit 120cm Höhe Platz für 4-6 Pflanzen. In der großen Version, unserer Hazelbox Ultrawhite mit 195cm Höhe finden 6-8 Pflanzen Platz. Je nach dem ob die Pflanzen eher in die Breite oder eher in die Höhe wachsen. Das hängt von der Sorte der Pflanze ab.

Die Anschlüsse

Viele der herkömmlichen Growzelte werden mit einem Reißverschluss geöffnet. Darum verfügen die neuen Modelle der Hazelbox über Türen mit einen patentierten Ergonorm-Griff und lassen sich außerdem mit einem Schlüßel abschließen. Wie bei den Zelten muss irgendwo frische Luft in die Box, aber auch verbrauchte alte Luft wieder raus. Dazu gibt es zwei Flanschöffnungen an der Hazelbox. Durch den unteren kommt frische Luft rein, außerdem wird hier das Stromkabel nach außen geführt. Wenn du weitere Geräte, wie zum Beispiel ein Bewässerungssystem, in der Hazelbox platzieren willst, geht dies auch ganz einfach durch den unteren Flansch. Am oberen Flansch wird der Abluftschlauch der Hazelbeam2 angeschlossen. Dieser Flansch hat in unseren neuen 2022er Modellen eine AirMatrix die, die Geräusche des Luftstroms deutlich reduziert. Im Vergleich sind die neuen Hazelbox Modelle um ca. 30% leiser als Ihre Vorgänger.

Das Innenleben einer Grow box

Egal ob Growschrank oder Growzelt, das Innenleben einer Grow box ist sicher der wichtigste Bestandteil für eine erfolgreiche Ernte. In einer Growbox braucht man mehrere technische Geräte um eine Pflanze optimal zum Blühen zu bringen. Deshalb braucht man grundsätzlich das Licht, ein Lüftungssystem und einen Aktivkohlefilter um Gerüche zu vermeiden. Das Herzstück unserer Hazelbox ist die Hazelbeam2. Are you looking for an energy-efficient grow box for your home grow? With the Hazelbox you will find a grow box that consumes little energy and guarantees the best yields during cultivation.

Power consumption of a grow box

Many customers ask us how much electricity a grow box consumes. We have calculated the power consumption of our Hazelbox here for you. The Hazelbeam2 uses different amounts of power in different cycles. At the beginning in the blue phase it is about 120 watts of power with 18 hours of blue light. At the end of the flowering phase it is 270 watts with 12 hours of intense red light. So about 2.3 KhW per day. That is up to 70% less than other complete grow tent systems.

Compared to other grow systems and combined with the expected yield, this is a very economical yet efficient way to operate your home grow without high electricity costs.

Depending on the provider, you can save another 20-40% if you use your Hazelbox grow box at night with cheaper off-peak electricity. In addition, your power consumption is then evenly distributed throughout the day and there are no peaks in power consumption because not all your devices are running at the same time. So currently you pay about
39 cents per day for the operation of the Hazelbox if you use all factors optimally.

Use the heat of the grow box

Due to the currently higher costs for heating, you can also take advantage of a grow box to save on heating costs. We recommend using our Hazelbox in living rooms with a temperature of approx. 20 degrees. This brings you the best yield.

However, it is also possible to operate a grow box in rooms with an ambient temperature of only 16 degrees. The box is often in a third room, i.e. an office or hobby room. Since the temperature in the Hazelbox is about 4 degrees warmer than outside, you can save on heating costs in these rooms or turn off the heating completely.

Stromverbrauch einer Growbox

Viele Kunden fragen uns wieviel Storm eine Growbox verbraucht. Wir haben den Stromverbrauch unserer Hazelbox hier für euch ausgerechnet. Die Hazelbeam2 braucht in den unterschiedlichen Zyklen verschiedene Mengen an Strom. Am Anfang in der Blauen Phase sind es ca. 120 Watt Leistung bei 18 Stunden blauem Licht. Am Ende in der Blütephase sind es 270 Watt bei 12 Stunden rotem intensiven Licht. Also ca. 2,3 KhW pro Tag. Das sind bis zu 70% weniger als bei anderen Growbox Komplettsystemen.

Sparsame Hazelbox Growbox

Im Vergleich zu anderen Growsystemen und kombiniert mit dem zu erwartenden Ertrag ist dies eine sehr sparsame und trotzdem effiziente Möglichkeit seinen Homegrow auch ohne hohe Stromkosten zu betreiben.

Du kannst je nach Anbieter nochmal von ca. 20-40% sparen wenn du deine Hazelbox Growbox Nachts mit günstigerem Nachtstrom nutzt. Außerdem ist dein Stromverbrauch dann gleichmäßig über den gesamten Tag verteilt und es gibt keine Spitzen im Stromverbrauch, da nicht all deine Geräte zur gleichen Zeit laufen. Aktuell bezahlt man also ca. 39 cent pro Tag für den Betrieb der Hazelbox wenn man alle Faktoren optimal ausnutzt.

Wärme der Growbox nutzen

Durch die aktuell höheren Kosten fürs Heizen, kannst du auch die Vorteile einer Growbox nutzen um Heizkosten zu sparen. Wir empfehlen unsere Hazelbox in Wohnräumen mit einer Temperatur von ca. 20 Grad zu nutzen. Dies bringt dir den optimalen Ertrag.

Es ist aber auch möglich eine Growbox in Räumen mit nur 16 Grad Umgebungstemperatur zu betreiben. Oft steht die Box in einem 3. Zimmer, also Büro oder Hobbyraum. Da die Temperatur in der Hazelbox im Betrieb ca. 4 Grad wärmer ist als außen, kannst du in diesen Räumen die Heizkosten sparen oder die Heizung komplett ausstellen.
