Grow cabinet

Are you looking for a grow cabinet? The Hazelbox® is made of metal and is therefore very durable for use as a grow cabinet. Materials like wood do not withstand the stress of humidity for long. Grow tent

Everyone knows the classic grow tent for simple home growing. A grow tent is cheap and easy to set up and take down. However, your visitors will wonder why there is a strange tent in your apartment. In addition, there are some problems after a short time. Often the zipper gets stuck or the tent rips open because there is too much tension on the fabric. The rods bend or break, as the load-bearing capacity of the rods supplied is only designed for a few kilos. The reflection of the light also comes from below in the tents, which then makes the plants more difficult to grow upwards.

Grow cabinet made of wood

So a grow tent is too conspicuous and doesn’t look particularly nice anyway? That’s why you might prefer to use a grow cabinet. There is now the possibility of simply converting a wooden cabinet and using it as a grow cabinet. But why shouldn’t wood be used as a material for home growing? Why do you think we bother to bend metal? Wood is much easier and more individual to work with, it is cheaper and can be cut to any size. Nevertheless, we use metal as the material for our Hazelbox®.

Tastes bad

Wood will not withstand the high humidity in a grow box for long. Classic industrial greenhouses are also made of glass, plastic (grow tent) or metal. Wood is an organic material and as soon as it comes into contact with moisture it provides a wonderful breeding ground and space for bacteria and other small animals to grow. Vegetables from a wooden cupboard will taste more mossy or musty and smell strange.

The only living things in a grow box should be your plants

After each use of a grow box, the cabinet should be cleaned, or even better, disinfected immediately. Such cleaning does not affect your Hazelbox®, because this is one of the reasons why metal is optimally recommended as a material. In particular, the side walls, the floor and the supply and exhaust air flanges should be cleaned.

This is the only way you can be sure that no microbes, bacteria and other microorganisms will attack your harvest during your next home grow.
